Stop Staring at the Closed Door

Stop staring at the closed door because God has opened one right behind you.

We often stare at the door that just closed, not realizing we’re standing with our back to the one God is opening.

Sometimes the hardest changes in life are the ones we never chose.

A friend moves away. A coworker leaves. A ministry changes. A relationship enters a new season. Someone else’s decision suddenly changes your world.

It’s okay to grieve those moments, but don’t mistake change for God’s absence.

The Lord saw the transition long before you did. In His providence, He is already at work.

Paul wrote:

“Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal…” (Philippians 3:13–14)

That doesn’t mean the past wasn’t meaningful. It means we trust God enough not to live there.

Sometimes God uses another person’s transition to begin your own.

Don’t spend so much time looking at the closed door that you miss the new opportunity God is placing right in front of you.
