Mike serves as the Senior Pastor of Immanuel Global Methodist Church in Lakeside Park, Kentucky. He and his wife, Valerie, have been married since 2007 and are the proud parents of two daughters, Norah and Ava. When he’s not preaching or writing, you’ll probably find him cheering for Chicago sports, riding his motorcycle, or enjoying a good cup of coffee.
Mike’s journey to faith wasn’t a straight path. Growing up, he experienced deep hurt, brokenness, and pain. As a teenager, he encountered the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ, and everything changed. That transformation sparked a calling to help others discover the same hope, purpose, and new life he found in Christ.
Since then, Mike has had the privilege of serving in churches of every size, from small congregations to the megachurch, and has witnessed God transform countless lives through the local church.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical and Theological Studies from Asbury University, a Master of Divinity from Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary with a concentration in preaching and leadership.
Whether through preaching, writing, or leadership, Mike’s passion is simple: helping people become faithful disciples of Jesus Christ and equipping the local church to reach its community with the hope of the gospel.
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” — 1 Corinthians 2:9
